Repairing & Healing the Body
Please Note: If your goal is to get your Type 2 diabetes under control (stop the rot), or possibly reverse your diabetes, then is critical that you acquire the proper knowledge to understand and learn how this disease works to rot out your body from the inside out. In addition, it may be just as important to unlearn a lot of myths you believe to be true about diabetes, drugs, and nutrition.
The following is some of that knowledge and information that you need to understand about Type 2 diabetes.
And, once you understand how diabetes rots out your body, it will make it easier to understand how to stop the rot, and reverse the disease.
There are primarily 3 types of diabetes:
Type 1 Diabetes usually occurs earlier in life, due to damaged beta cells which fail to produce insulin. People with Type 1 diabetes will require insulin to prevent serious hyperglycemia and life-threatening ketoacidosis, but they can reduce the amount of insulin they require by following a superior nutritional program and by avoiding the 5"dead" foods.
Unfortunately, Type 1 diabetics are told that they can eat whatever they want as long as they increase their insulin dosage! But, this is bad advice that leads to health issues with the eyes, kidneys, etc. later on in life.
Type 1 Diabetes Symptoms
The most common symptoms for Type 1 diabetes (juvenile or child onset) include, but are not limited to, frequent urination, thirst, vomiting, nausea, fatigue, unexplained weight loss, and abdominal pain. If you exhibit these symptoms, see your physician immediately.
Conventional Medical Care
With conventional medical care, the long-term prognosis for a Type 1 diabetic is dismal. More than one-third of all Type 1 diabetics die before the age of fifty.
The primary reason for this is a combination of the diabetes, the excess insulin, and poor nutrition. This leads to high cholesterol and inflammation levels, accelerating atherosclerosis and damage to the kidneys, eyes, nerves, and other organs.
Good News for Type 1 Diabetics
Type 1 diabetics do not have to feel doomed to a life of poor health and a possible early death -- as long as the diabetic is willing to improve their nutritional profile.
By following the Super Meal Model Diet for Diabetics and by avoiding the 5"dead" foods, Type 1s can sustain steady blood glucose levels and lower their insulin requirements by about half.
It is essential for all Type 1 diabetics to learn that they have the power to optimize their health with superior nutrition, which can give them the opportunity for a long and healthy life.
Note: Both Type 1s and Type 2s suffer unnecessarily, especially when a superior nutritional program can help. Unfortunately, both Type 1s and Type 2s who try to eat properly still suffer because they're eating so-called healthy foods that are not healthy for diabetics. Once they reduce or eliminate these foods and replace them with superior plant-based foods, both groups are able to achieve more consistent blood glucose stabilization.
In simple terms, Type 2 diabetes is a rotting disease that gradually spreads the rot and damage throughout the body.
Type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, NIDDM) has reached epidemic levels in the United States and other countries around the world. There are more than 24 million diabetics in the U.S. and more than 190 million worldwide.
Type 2 diabetes is a metabolic disorder where the cells of the body have lost the ability to effectively utilize the insulin produced by the pancreas. This is known as insulin resistance.
Type 2 diabetes used to be called adult-onset diabetes, because it primarily affected older adults. But today with more children being overweight and sedentary, Type 2 diabetes is affecting children as well as adults. As a result, Type 2 diabetes has reached such an epidemic level that 1 out of every 2 people knows someone who is diabetic! In fact, you may be surprised at the number of famous people and celebrities who are diabetic.
Type 2 diabetes is a combination of cellular dehydration, nutrient starvation, insulin resistance, leptin resistance, cellular inflammation, rotting, toxicity, and oxidative stress that affects trillions of cells and damages many of these cells -- which can lead to a dysregulated immune system. In other words, Type 2 diabetes is more than just a "blood sugar" disease!
This is important to understand because once you realize that controlling your blood sugar is only one component to defeat and reverse your diabetes, achieving the ultimate goal of "death to your diabetes" is within your reach.
Insulin resistance and cellular inflammation reinforce each other via a positive feedback loop, causing more cell damage and preventing your body's cells from effectively using the insulin produced by the pancreas. That is, the insulin receptors on the surface of each cell are damaged (inflamed), ignoring the presence of insulin in your blood and refusing to allow glucose from your blood to enter your cells.

The cells in your body require the glucose (as fuel) in order to produce energy. Without this fuel, your cells cannot produce energy and perform their functions.
Some of this glucose is stored in the liver. But most of it enters the bloodstream and travels to the cells to be used as fuel. Glucose needs the help of a hormone called insulin to enter the cells. Insulin, which is made in the pancreas, is released into the bloodstream in response to the presence of glucose in the blood (i.e. after eating food). Think of insulin as a key. When insulin reaches a cell, it attaches to the cell wall. This signals the cell to create an opening that allows glucose to enter the cell.
But with Type 2 diabetes, your cells don’t respond properly to insulin. Because of this, less glucose than normal moves into cells. This is called insulin resistance. In response, the pancreas makes more insulin. As less and less glucose enters cells, it builds up to a harmful level in the bloodstream. This is known as high blood sugar or hyperglycemia. The result is Type 2 diabetes. The cells become starved for energy, which can leave you feeling tired and rundown.

Over a period of years, insulin resistance and cellular inflammation continue to feed each other, spreading more damage to more cells, leading to an increase in the production of fat cells and the need for more insulin from those cells. This increases the fat storage, especially in the abdomen area, while inhibiting fat metabolism because of the excess insulin (known as hyperinsulinemia).
Gradually, this may lead to beta cell dysfunction, which may reduce insulin production and cause blood glucose levels to rise even further. In addition, there is an increase in oxidative stress, glycation, and a depletion of key micronutrients such as potassium, chromium, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E causing a severe nutrient deficiency.
All of this dysfunction leads to more cell membrane damage and a buildup of homocysteine, which causes damage to the artery walls. This leads to arterial plaque formation, an increase in blood viscosity and blood pressure, and, in some cases, an increase in cholesterol. That's why many diabetics end up taking prescription medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Unfortunately, this combination of medications just make matters worse.
However, there is more to diabetes than the insulin resistance and inflammation. There are other biochemical and hormonal imbalances (root causes) that fuel diabetes, including excess oxidation, adrenal fatigue, toxicity, and insufficient nutrient absorption by the gastrointestinal system. All of these biochemical and hormonal imbalances must be addressed in order to properly treat diabetes and provide the opportunity to reverse the disease.
Since billions of cells have been damaged by the diabetes, the body requires a comprehensive nutritional and detox program that removes the excess toxins, reduces the oxidative damage, and initiates the body's repair process to repair the cellular damage and heal the body.
If Type 2 diabetes goes untreated, the excess insulin and excess blood glucose (hyperglycemia) damages the body's blood vessels and can lead to thicker blood, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high homocysteine, high c-reactive protein, arterial plaque formation, and low levels of chromium, magnesium, calcium, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E.
These complications affect nearly every organ in the body, leading to kidney failure, diabetic retinopathy and blindness, peripheral neuropathy and amputation, serious skin infections, gangrene, cardiovascular disease, stroke, disability, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's disease, hearing damage, nonketotic hyperglycemic hyperosmolar syndrome, and death.
However, the good news is that these biological changes and biochemical imbalances can be corrected and these complications prevented with a superior nutrition, anti-inflammatory foods, a proper exercise regimen, spiritual health, and less stress in your life.

Gestational diabetes is a temporary for of Type 2 diabetes that occurs during pregnancy. In the majority of women found to have this condition, there are no symptoms of diabetes, and the diabetes usually goes away after the baby is born.
However, women with gestational diabetes have a strong likelihood of developing adult onset diabetes later in life due to poor eating habits.
Since gestational diabetes is a sign of nutritional deficiency, it can be overcome with superior nutrition, as defined by the Super Meal Model Diet for Diabetics.
Type 2 diabetes often develops slowly from a condition called pre-diabetes, and symptoms may not be apparent for years.
Symptoms can include excessive thirst, which develops because hyperglycemia, or high levels of glucose in the blood, acts as a sponge to pull fluid out of the body's tissues. This leads to dehydration and extreme thirst as well as frequent urination. This also pulls fluid away from the eyes, resulting in blurred vision.
Because the body's cells aren't able to get the glucose they need for energy, people with type 2 diabetes may feel tired and fatigued. Without the proper energy supply for the cells, people with type 2 diabetes may feel very hungry, and weight loss may result because the body has to use other sources for energy, such as burning muscle and fat stores. High levels of sugar in the blood make it more difficult for the body to resist and fight infections and to heal, resulting in frequent infections, especially skin infections and open, slow healing sores.
High amounts of glucose in the blood can also lead to nonketotic hyperglycemic hyperosmolar syndrome, coma, and shock. Over time hyperglycemia damages the body's blood vessels, leading to serious long-term complications, such as kidney failure, diabetic retinopathy and blindness, peripheral neuropathy and amputation, digestive issues (i.e gastroparesis), serious skin infections, gangrene, cardiovascular disease, stroke, disability, and death.
Other symptoms include skin rashes, urinary tract infections, candida, dry itchy skin, skin ulcers, flaky skin, foot tingling/numbness, hand tingling/ numbness, sexual problems, erectile dysfunction, unusual vaginal dryness, premature menopause, absent periods, drowsiness, excessive weight gain (especially in the belly area), and the inability to lose weight (especially the belly fat).
Later more extreme symptoms when blood sugars get higher include excessive thirst, excessive urination, excessive hunger, severe blurred vision, bed wetting - in children, muscle cramps, muscle weakness, headaches, irritability, fatigue, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), which is a very severe life- threatening complication of high blood sugars, requiring emergency treatment, which has very severe symptoms:
o Nausea
o Vomiting
o Sweet-smelling fruity acetone breath
o Breathing difficulty
o Rapid Pulse
o Abdominal pain - usually in children

Stop the Rot!
If you are overweight, a Type 2 Diabetic, or concerned about becoming diabetic, the Death to Diabetes book will provide you the knowledge for optimum diabetes-management, enabling you to combat and defeat this disease.
Although the book's 6-stage wellness model has been very successful, the author has hesitated to market it as a "natural cure for Type 2 diabetes", despite all of the evidence and Testimonials. Why? Because as an engineer, the author does not believe in anecdotal data – he believes in the data and testing from independent, qualified test labs and similar resources that do not have a vested interest in substantiating the claims in his book. His hope is that a company out there will step up to the plate to conduct a series of double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical studies -- for the betterment of diabetics and their loved ones all over the world.
However, keep in mind that, on an individual basis, you can easily validate whether the 6-stage wellness program is working for you by simply measuring and recording your blood glucose readings, and getting periodic physicals/blood tests from your doctor. In fact, if you have kept records of your past blood glucose readings before you started the program, you will be able to compare and see the dramatic improvement in your blood glucose levels during the first 2 weeks of the program!

The good news is that you can prevent this from happening! All of this is preventable!
You have the power to stop this!
But, don't think it's not going to happen to you -- it will happen to you. That's the way the disease works ...
Unless you do something. and, do it now.
Diabetic Complications
There are several long-term microvascular and macrovascular complications that develop if your diabetes is not managed properly and your blood glucose is not maintained within the normal range.
These complications include:
Note: The good news is that many of these complications can be prevented (and some reversed) with proper blood glucose and insulin control.
Diabetes can increase your risk of some types of liver disease. For example, poorly controlled blood sugar increases your risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, which can lead to scarring of the liver (nonalcoholic cirrhosis). Other medical conditions related to diabetes — such as high cholesterol and obesity — also increase the risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. In addition, some medications used to treat these related conditions, such as cholesterol-lowering statin drugs, may cause liver damage.
Sustained high blood sugar is common to type 2 diabetes. Sugary blood passing through the pancreas triggers an insulin release from a group of specialized cells called "beta cells." Insulin attempts to remove sugar from the bloodstream by pushing it into body tissues, especially muscles. However, resistance to the action of insulin at the body tissues prohibits sugar's clearance from the blood. Consequently, the beta cells overexert themselves, but fail to lower blood sugar due to the body tissues' inability to absorb it.
The DtD Wellness Solution: Most diabetics are aware that diet and exercise are two of the keys to controlling and reversing their Type 2 diabetes. Unfortunately, most diabetics are applying the wrong diet and, unknowingly, are eating the wrong foods, some of which are so-called healthy foods that are sabotaging their health.
Most diabetics are aware that diet and exercise are two of the keys to controlling and reversing their Type 2 diabetes. Unfortunately, most diabetics are applying the wrong diet and, unknowingly, are eating the wrong foods, some of which are so-called healthy foods that are sabotaging their health. For example, most wheat breads are not a healthy food because it contains refined flour, partially hydrogenated oil, and high fructose corn syrup! Death to Diabetes utilizes a Six (6) stage medical wellness protocol with a focus on the Super Meal Model (aka "The Death to Diabetes Diet", The "Beat & Reverse" Nutritional Model), the 5 "super" foods and the 5 critical nutritional supplements, while avoiding the 5 "dead" foods that actually fuel Type 2 diabetes, e.g. flour, fructose, trans fats, drugs.
Financial Impact: According to the CDC, diabetes is reaching epidemic levels that is costing the average diabetic $13,243 in healthcare costs annually, or about $265,000 over a 20-year period.
More importantly, the amount of out-of-pocket expenses increase each year as the number of and severity of the complications gradually increase over a period of years.
The annual healthcare costs for a non-diabetic is $2,560, or about $51,000 over a 20-year period.
Consequently, it would be financially beneficial to prevent, control or reverse your diabetes by spending a few extra dollars towards a natural wellness solution (e.g. diabetes book/DVD, wellness workshop, or coaching sessions).
Biological Impact & Other Diseases: Over a period of years, poorly-controlled diabetes treated with diabetic drugs can lead to "insulin addiction" and one or more long term complications, including blindness, amputations, kidney disease, heart disease, stroke, and nerve damage.
In addition, because of the underlying biochemical and hormonal mechanisms that drive Type 2 diabetes, this disease can fuel other chronic diseases, including Alzheimer's and even some cancers.
Read Chapter 15 of the Death to Diabetes book to learn how to prevent these complications. If you are unaware of why diabetics remain in a diabetic state or how diabetic drugs actually fuel your diabetes, read Chapter 3.

Drug Treatment: Western Medicine uses diabetic drugs such as metformin (Glucophage), glyburide (Micronase, DiaBeta) and glipizide (Glucotrol) to "treat" your diabetes.
So, do these drugs work?
It depends on your point of view.
These drugs help to lower your blood glucose level, but they do absolutely nothing to help your body get rid of the disease!
In addition, these drugs do not stop diabetic complications such as amputation, kidney failure or heart attack.
In fact, these drugs cause long-term side damage that leads to gastrointestinal problems, kidney failure, liver failure, and other health issues that your doctor may not mention to you.
For more information about the dangers of these diabetes drugs and their side effects, go to this link: More About Diabetes Drugs
Note!: Just because you don't feel any discomfort such as an upset stomach or headache, does not mean that your body is not experiencing any side effects from these drugs!! Most side effects such as liver/kidney damage go undetected for years!

Why Is There so Much Conflicting Information About Diabetes?
Several years ago (before writing the book), during his medical research, Mr. McCulley discovered a lot of discrepancies, myths, misunderstandings, and lies associated with diabetes treatment, and disease treatment in general. There are several reasons why there is so much confusion and disagreement when it comes to dealing with diabetes.
One of the major reasons is that most people THINK they understand diabetes, but, in fact, they know very little even though they think they know a lot. This is especially true with some doctors, diabetes educators, herbalists, nutritionists, and diabetics. Most people (including medical doctors) fail to truly understand the pathology and biochemistry of diabetes at the cellular level.
One of the other major reasons is that most people THINK they understand food and diets, but, in fact, they know very little about the science of nutrition. There are many beliefs about diets and nutrition that just aren't true.
One of the other major areas that doctors and others overlook and underestimate is the impact that one's emotional health, personal drive, motivation and spirituality has on their overall health.
So, when you combine all of this, you end up with a lot of confusion, misunderstanding, conflcting information, and anixiety because as a diabetic you're not certain what to do! This is what Mr. McCulley faced back in 2002 when the doctors told him there was very little that he could do. There were some diabetics who tried to help Mr. McCulley but their information was conflicting.
So, as a scientist, Mr. McCulley decided to start from scratch and take a look at diabetes at the cellular level. As an engineer, he knew that in order to find a viable solution, he needed to clearly understand the problem. As a result, he was able to develop a medical wellness protocol that is metrics-driven and structured to drive you through 6 stages of health progress and diabetes reversal.
Then, because he had access to so many diabetics through the American diabetes Assocation, he was able to verify and modify his program overa period of 3 years before publsihing his book. But, he didn't stop there. He continued to modify his program and conduct research which has enabled him to update his book from Version 1.0 to 3.0, with a 4th version coming out in 1-2 years.
In addition, his research enabled him to write several new ebooks that go beyond the book because many of his clients requested the additional information. Mr. McCulley has also developed a corporate wellness training program that far exceeds any other program because it's based on the clients achieving better health, based on various blood test metrics such as blood glucose, blood pressure, A1C, etc.
Mr. McCulley discovered that there are 7 mistakes that diabetics make. He also discovered the key reasons why most diabetics remain diabetic.
